2021, Year in review 2nd International Online Design Competition with the theme SMARTCITY+

The 21st century has witnessed many important moments in human history because of the challenges we are facing: such as technological leap forward or urban challenges in the context of urbanization. and rapid globalization. And smart cities will not only be a development trend but become an indispensable thing. The question is how smart cities will face urban challenges? How can integrated technology and other areas be applied to address urbanization crises?
As part of the SMARTCITY+ series of events, ISCM and its partners organized an international design competition with the theme “SMARTCITY+” with the desire to call for ideas to propose designs to enhance the identity of urban identity towards the direction of the city. to smart city.

/2021, YEAR IN REVIEW/ SMARTCITY+ – The 2nd International Design Competition
It is the first time in human history, we have no idea what the world will be like in the next 30 years (the writer Yuval Harari). The first half of the 21st century will be the most important in the history of the human race because of all the challenges we face from an amazing leap in technology and the urban challenges in a rapidly urbanizing and globalized world. In this phenomenon, smart cities will not just be a trend but also become a must-have. But how will smart cities still deal with urban challenges and how can integrated technology and other fields be applied to solve the urbanization crises?
On the line of SMARCITY+ Even series, ISCM in collaboration with partners held the SMARTCITY+ – The 2nd International Design Competition aims to call for ideas to propose designs to enhance urban identity towards smart cities. Ideas need the integration of technology, materials, aesthetics, and spatial organization combined with research on local cultural factors, adaptability, globalization, and vision for the future urban environment.
