THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) SIGNING CEREMONY BETWEEN UEH COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN (CTD) AND AGEST VIETNAM

UEH College of Technology and Design (CTD) and Agest Vietnam has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Campus B of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) – 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Ward 5, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City in the morning of April 12, 2024. This event marked a new milestone in the cooperation between the two parties, aiming towards sustainable development.

The ceremony was honored to welcome representatives from Agest Vietnam: Mr. Mizuide Tamaki – General Director, Mr. Vuong Bao Long – Chief Operating Officer and Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong – Training Coordinator.

Joining at the ceremony were also representatives from CTD: Dr. Thai Kim Phung – Vice Rector of CTD, Director of Academy of Technology and Design (ATD); Mr. Phan Hien – Associate Dean of School of Business Information Technology, CTD; Dao Thi Minh Huyen – Interim Head of CTD Office.

On behalf of CTD, Dr. Thai Kim Phung – Vice Rector of CTD expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming collaboration activities between the two parties, He also emphasized the importance of staying ahead in the development of Information Technology and particularly Information Security – trending areas not only at CTD but also in Viet Nam. Speaking at the ceremony, he also claimed that as an educational institution with a technology and design integration foundation, at the moment, CTD was developing various educational programs related to Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Smart Control and Automation, as well as AI Application and Innovation Technology. CTD was also focusing on developing short-term training programs in related fields to promote lifelong learning for the community.

Mr. Mizuide Tamaki – General Director of Agest Vietnam affirmed that this collaboration would create new opportunities and bring significant benefits to both parties. He said that Agest Vietnam would fully support CTD in developing training programs and would like to maintain a long-term cooperative relationship with CTD in the future.

Following discussions and exchanges, the two parties agreed and proceeded to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a focus on practical training, program development, human resources improvement, and building a network for startups and innovation projects. In the near future, the two parties planned to collaborate on developing short-term training programs on Cyber Security and Software Testing and Test Automation with a team of reputable international lecturers to enhance professional capacity for learners.

The success of the MOU Signing Ceremony between the UEH College of Technology and Design and Agest Vietnam marks an important milestone in the cooperation between the two parties. This collaboration is also considered as an important step not only for CTD, but also for UEH in developing and improving the quality of short-term training programs and expanding cooperation networks domestically and internationally towards sustainable development.
