The training objective of the Business Statistics program is to provide the labor market with a bachelor’s degree in economic statistics who are specialists in research and data analysis, in order to contribute to the improvement of management efficiency, business performance of enterprises and society by providing data to make appropriate decisions. The Business Statistics (BS) major offers an interdisciplinary program between statistics and business applied to the field of statistics and analysis to help students have a variety of career options. The program is designed to help students study dual majors with Marketing or International Business in the shortest possible time. With the goal of training to serve social needs, the program is designed to balance knowledge, skills and attitudes; between theory and practice so that graduates become competent business analysts, able to communicate effectively, think critically, and solve analytical problems effectively.

1.Knowledge:
  • Basic knowledge of social sciences, politics, law and economics to understand the macro environment of enterprises and state management agencies.
  • Basic business knowledge to understand the operating environment of enterprises and state management agencies.
  • Basic knowledge of information technology including databases, management information systems, data science as a data base to perform analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics, statistics, data analysis, research to analyze socio-economic relationships, support assessment and decision making in management, business and marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of planning, organizing the implementation of the market research research process, the operation of a typical market research company or the operation of the research and statistics department in an organization business or state management
2. Skill:
  • Ability in data needs identification, research design; proficient in surveying, processing and analyzing data for information needs to support decision making in management and business.
  • Ability to convincingly explain choices in research design, investigation, and data analysis.
  • Ability to present and communicate the meaning of analysis results to stakeholders.
  • Know how to self-evaluate work results and evaluate the performance of team members working together.
  • Able to communicate and exchange expertise in English, achieving foreign language ability level 3/6 of Vietnam’s
  • Foreign Language Competency Framework (equivalent to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference).
