In order to create opportunities for teachers and teachers to share and exchange research, applications and development opportunities in the Data Analytics industry, on the morning of March 28, 2022, UEH School of Technology and Design (CTD) ) organized an online seminar with the theme \u201cInternational workshop Data analytics: Current trends and prospects\u201d with the participation of guest speaker Professor Kiyoshi Kobayashi. from Kyoto University – one of the leading experts in Data Analytics research in Japan.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Following the success of the professional meeting in February 2022, UEH School of Technology and Design held a professional seminar in March 2022 with the theme “Prospects and trends in Data Analytics – International workshop Data analytics: Current trends and prospects.\u201d The seminar received the attention, attendance and contributions of lecturers and officials not only in UEH School of Technology and Design but also received the interest and suggestions from Lecturers, Officials of other member schools of UEH and Vinh Long Branch.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the seminar, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao – Vice President of UEH School of Technology and Design shared: “As the demand for big data mining in the world is increasingly expanding, the power is not in the volume, but in the way of mining. and use this resource. In fact, businesses around the world and in Vietnam are investing heavily in data and gradually succeeding in big data-driven development. And CTD is in the process of building a training program related to the field of Data Analytics, so it needs the contributions and sharing from experts in the field and from the teachers.<\/em><\/p>\n

The seminar consisted of two parts: the first part was the general sharing on the field of Data Analytics as well as the trends and prospects of the industry from the guest speakers; In the second part, after listening to the sharing of the speakers, the Lecturers and Officials will contribute to extensive discussions related to this field and share their views.<\/p>\n

In the first part, Dr. Le Thanh Nam – Institute of Smart and Interactive Cities shared his experiences and observations over the years in the field of “Urban computing and data analysis” and discussed the background of businesses data-driven. Besides, Dr. Le Thanh Nam commented that the limitations of recruiting talented people in the field of data analysis lies in their lack of common understanding of business and lack of English communication skills. For the discussion at this workshop, Dr. Le Thanh Nam suggested that, we can consider expanding education and training in data analysis, focusing not only on the external side but also on moving social trends, from the supply and demand of the society. not only in business but also in other areas of life.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

Guest speaker – Professor Kiyoshi Kobayashi from Kyoto University, Japan had exchanges from practical experience when working in the fields: Smart Cities, Business Data Analytics, .. Professor shared ideas about system integration and coordination. The professor said that the system integration is optimization instead of the individual use of many systems. Sharing in more detail in Part 2, the Professor also emphasized the importance of combining science, business and practical needs to help students develop data analytics capabilities in professional development.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

During the program, Master Tran Ha Quyen – Lecturer of the Faculty of Mathematics – Statistics shared the strengths in the field of Data Analysis at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh. The Faculty has changed and updated the study programs and applications close to reality and the needs of society. As a result, there have been many former graduates who have held many positions related to Data Analytics and have had success at global corporations operating in Vietnam.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

MSc. Tran Ha Quyen shares about UEH’s strengths in Data Analytics<\/em><\/p>\n

After listening to guest speakers, the lecturers shared about the opportunities, prospects and challenges of data analytics industry at UEH and around the world in the discussion section. Actually in the world today, Data Analysis has been applied a lot and developed in fields such as business, urban, infrastructure,… For research and education, science data and databases in multidisciplinary development is also a very important topic where data integration and collaboration is essential. Dr. Trinh Tu Anh agrees with the speakers’ sharing, this is an opportunity to learn ideas and internal knowledge of CTD, support from Prof. Kobayashi and partners. Data analytics will be further developed in training and research activities at CTD in the future.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

International workshop Data analytics: Current trends and prospects” is a program in the series of professional activities of UEH School of Technology and Design in 2022. Here, The seminar brought a lot of valuable information about the field of Data Analytics and received many shares and comments from guest speakers and lecturers and officials. And in the near future, UEH School of Technology and Design will organize professional activities to discuss in more detail the issues surrounding the field of Data Analytics.<\/p>\n
